In accordance with Section 42 of the Waterworks & Sewer Regulation, the Town of Wilkie hereby notifies consumers that the information on the quality of water supplies to residents and compliance to sample submission requirements is available for the year 2021 by clicking on the link below:

2022 Waterworks Financial Overview:
" Total waterworks revenues (R) - $483,416
" Total waterworks expenditures (E) - $460,791
" Total debt payments on waterworks infrastructure loans (D) - $50,631
" Comparison of water & sewer revenues to expenses plus debt payments expressed as a ratio:
Revenue ($483,416) = 0.95
Expenses ($460,791 + $50,631)
For 2022 water revenues covered 95% of water expenditures.

" Objectives of the Waterworks Capital Investment Strategy:
The objective of the waterworks capital investment strategy is to address anticipated waterworks
infrastructure maintenance and the timely replacement of that infrastructure so that residents and businesses continue to enjoy abundant, safe drinking water on an uninterrupted basis.
To address future costs of waterworks infrastructure maintenance and replacements, Council will undertake a combination of increasing water rates to build up reserves, long term borrowing, special levies, Building Canada Funding and lobbying for future funding from senior governments.

Town Council Meetings will be held every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 P.M., with the exception of statuatory holidays.
The meetings are being held in the Council Chambers located at the Town of Wilkie Office at 206 - 2nd Avenue West.
Anyone from the public who wishes to attend the meeting must notify the Administrator by noon the Friday before the council meeting at 306-843-2692. To allow for social distancing guests are limited to either the phone or by Zoom.
