Saskatchewan Health Cards

New residents must apply for a Saskatchewan Health Services Card within three months of moving. Apply online at www.ehealthsask.ca.

Pet Regulations

All dogs in Wilkie must be licensed, and there is a limit of two dogs and two cats per household. Pets must not be allowed to run at large.

Traffic Regulations

Speed Limit: 40 km/h, unless otherwise posted
Heavy Haul Traffic: Restricted routes are designated to reduce street wear.
Golf Carts: Allowed on streets between sunrise and one-half hour after sunset (certain restrictions apply).
Snowmobiles: Usage is restricted to certain routes and times.
Parking: No vehicle, trailer, or motorhome may park on a street for more than 72 hours.
Engine Retardant Brakes: Use is prohibited within town limits except in emergencies.

Property taxes are payable annually starting January 1, with discounts available for early payment and penalties for late payment starting in August.

Snow Removal Regulations

Residents are reminded not to deposit snow from private property onto public streets or back lanes. In the commercial sector, business owners are responsible for keeping sidewalks clear of snow and ice.
